Privacy policy

Effective and last updated: October 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Asset Distribution ("Asset Distro," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit assetdistro.com (the "Site"), submit a form, create an artist account, or receive communications from us.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Applications and contact forms: name, email, phone number, role, artist or label name, social media and streaming profile links, your message, and whether you opted out of marketing emails.
  • Artist accounts: if you're invited to create an account, your name, email address, and sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Cookies & tracking below.

Information from others

  • Sign-in providers (such as Google), and advertising and analytics partners that tell us how our ads and Site perform.

2. Cookies & tracking technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners also use pixels, tags, and local storage. We use them in these categories:

CategoryWhat it doesProviders

Your choices: Click Cookie settings (also linked at the bottom of every page) to turn analytics or advertising off. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we turn advertising off automatically. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info, Meta ad preferences, and Google ad settings. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting; because there is no common standard for it, we rely on GPC and your Cookie settings instead.

3. How we use information

  • To review applications, respond to messages, and provide distribution and artist services.
  • To operate artist accounts and keep the Site secure.
  • To understand and improve the Site and our services.
  • To send service-related messages (for example, about your application or account).
  • To send marketing emails, unless you opted out (see below).
  • To measure and run advertising, including showing ads to people who visited our Site.
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights.

4. Marketing emails

When you submit our application or contact form, we may send you marketing emails (news, tips, offers, and updates about Asset Distro) unless you uncheck the marketing box on the form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. We send marketing emails only to recipients in the United States unless they have given any consent required by their local law. You can also ask us to stop through our contact form. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send non-promotional messages about your application or account.

5. Advertising and audiences

We may advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. These partners may use cookies and pixels to show our ads to people who visited the Site and to measure results. If you did not opt out of marketing, we may also upload your email address in a protected (hashed) form to these platforms to show you relevant ads or to find similar audiences. You can opt out of this at any time through Cookie settings or by contacting us.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as Cloudflare (hosting and security), Web3Forms (form delivery), Clerk (artist sign-in), Google (analytics, maps, sign-in, and secure storage of form submissions in Google Sheets), and our distribution and royalty platforms for signed artists.
  • Advertising partners (such as Meta and Google) through cookies and pixels, as described above. Under some U.S. state laws, this can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out using Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other U.S. states), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; and
  • Appeal our decision on your request.

To make a request, use our contact form and choose "General question." We'll verify your request before acting on it. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with proof of authorization. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have similar rights under data protection law, and you may contact us the same way.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, for example for the length of an artist relationship or as long as required by tax, accounting, and legal obligations. We periodically review and delete applications that did not lead to a working relationship.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If changes are significant, we'll provide additional notice.
